ZINE
Finally I finished my zine. I' going to explain briefly what its about and how I made it.
Firstly the topic that I picked was love letters, based on a book that I had recently bought, so I was going to just include in the magazine quotes and poems from the book. I end up also including quote from fictional novels and songs.
I wanted to mix the old style of writing from the love letters from centuries ago with a modern and graphic visual illustrations.
I used the printmaking mainly as way of getting different textures but I also used the masking technique to create illustration like the moon one.

Then with photoshop I edit and modify the images to acquire the colours and style that I was looking for.
With the base already created I drew on my ipad the illustration for each of them. Because they all have text I have to edited as well and get the right typography.
These are the final illustrations.
For some of them I even use my finger prints and lips to create the prints.
I tried multiples techniques for this project and elements that I'd never used before. Creating my own textures, patterns and editing everything on a software that I'm not very familiar with. So, I'd say thta I'm quite proud with my project. I'm happy with how it turned out, probably If I had more time I would change some bits and perfection it.
I enjoyed this project, I think it's a great way of creating art and not relying only on the digital part of our careers. Even though at the beginning I was a bit confused with the whole idea and it took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do, I feel like I learn many things and at the same time I had a good time doing it, by creating something that I'm proud of it.
