Week 3

This week we continue with stop motion animation, but this time it was pixelation.
At the beginning of the lesson we watched the projects from last week. I am quite happy with how it turn out.
I had fun doing it, and it was interesting and helpful to try old methods of doing animation films.
The only challenges that i found were taking the pictures, i had to prepare a set up so the camera wouldnt move during the shots. And then I tried to no show my hand in the photos, but it was practically impossible not to, because where the drawing were located on the acetate sheet.
After that, we were divided in groups and were taught how to set the camera up.
My group and I decided to go to the cementry for our location and we all together start thinking about what we could do.
The idea came up very quickly by playing around and doing a bit of brain storming.
We organised ourselves very well and we started working from the very beginning.
I enjoyed whole process of creating it, and it was mainly because the good attitude of all of us, it was a great group to work with.
We did the editing after the break. We fixed the timing, add spooky music to create an atmosphere and a black and white filter to hepl with the style that we were going for.
Overall I think it was a good film.
The challenges that I found were maybe where to locate the camera to find the best shots and check and remember the position of all of us,since we didn't have the helpful "onion skin".
It was a fun projects, and I've been enjoying these lectures a lot, because of the variety of the tasks and being able to finish them on the same day, so we don't have to continue it at home.
