WEEK 11

Today we had another lesson of the zine project.

This time we had a presentation on the Zine history and different types of zines and ways of making it.

Later we started doing some collage work of it.

First I start doing it, I wanted to ask Hannah about my idea.

I made a list of the possible ideas for it, but I kept finding problems for all of them and not being happy with any of the ideas. At the end I decided to create something about a book that I recently bought, it’s called Love letters of great men. Even though I don’t consider myself a very romantic person, I thought it was a really cute idea and I wanted to do dedicate my zine to it.

So I thought of combining this old love letter with a very modern and graphic time of illustration, with limited colour palette and contemporary look.

Hannah liked it and encourage me to continue with it. 

So during the class I did some collage work of it. I don’t know if I’m going to keep these exact pieces but it definitely helped me to understand other type of compositions and made me think of different ideas and layouts for it.

I’m very excited with this project and I want to invest enough time on it, but I feel that we won’t have that much time, so everything feels quite rushed.
